Last week the world watched as predictions of "the end" were made, contemplated upon, and joked about. Situations like this, especially when they receive a lot of press, distract us from reality. They create a delusion - a distraction from what we really need to be focusing on - which is the power of this positive present moment.
Take a look at my reaction to the Rapture 2011 drama and how we can reign in all of this energy to make a positiev difference in our lives and the lives of others.

Dr. Catherine Athans Featured at Kepler's Bookstore
We are pleased to make some special announcements in connection with Kepler's Bookstore in Menlo Park, CA.
Kepler's is a local, community bookstore in the San Francisco Bay Area. It has been with our community for over 50 years. In 2005, due to the pressures of larger bookstores in the area, Kepler's shut down - but local residents wouldn't have that. Read the story of how they banded together to save this community gem.
The first of Dr. Catherine Athans' books to be featured at Kepler's is Make Your Dreams Come True Now, as shown here, featured in the store's Self Help section.
The book is also available through Kepler's website.
Additionally, Kepler's will host a book signing event for Dr. Athans as she releases her latest title, The Heart Brain, on Thursday, July 28th at 7pm.
We are excited to collaborate with Kepler's and look forward to meeting you at The Heart Brain book signing event. The Heart Brain |
Saturday, April 30, 2011, 4pm, Room 7
Here is the write up from the NLE website:
“Listen to your heart” is a phrase that is repeated to everyone at sometime in their lives, but what does this really mean? Most students study the importance of the brain. However, the brain and the head do not really feel or see emotions. Emotions come from the heart. Many of us are cut off from our hearts and know nothing about what is going on in the body. This lecture teaches participants to reconnect with the brain, reconnect with the body systems, and to recall and celebrate the joy of life.
Dr Catherine Athans is a teacher of metaphysics and life coach, and has practices in Los Altos and Los Angeles, California. With clients spread across the globe, she also has a California-based radio talk show and is a frequent guest speaker at events around the world.

Gratitude: Why it is so needed now, and what you can do to help…
Gratitude activates more neural pathways in the prefrontal cortex, allowing for more room for compassion, empathy, and patience, along with a sense of divine justice, grace, and the ability to wait peacefully; whereas anger or hatred actually creates a toxin in the body that stimulates the amygdala in the middle brain, furthering aggression, fighting, and irrationality.
Here is my video on the subject. I hope that you enjoy it, and I look forward to your thoughts.

The King's Speech: Awakening to the Greatness That You Are
This article was written on March 14, 2011:
We are all stuttering in some form, not letting our greatness out. The truth of who we are is far more magnificent than what we have been taught. We possess within us all of the mysteries of the Universe and the innate power to use our imagination to manifest our heart’s desires. We can each be the person we wish to be.
As you choose to not acknowledge your greatness but to settle for something that is socially acceptable so that you fit in, so that you don’t have to be uncomfortable, so that you don’t have to be responsible, the result is the experience of personal anguish. Choosing to be less than you are actually diminishes your soul. You are choosing to diminish your soul for what you believe to be social acceptability.
You may believe you have chosen to be more comfortable, but in reality, you have chosen a life of personal anguish.
Every day you have the choice to continue to live a lie or to find and live in your Truth. In a world where all of our systems that we once thought were solid are now dissolving, it is ever more important that we choose to come back to truth.
Truth is our only real sense of grounding and protection. It is the only thing that we have. As Colin Firth, in the movie The King’s Speech, became King George the VI – as he knew that was what he needed to do, it became clear to him that he could not just be a naval officer anymore. His brother, the successor to the throne, had denounced it. He was then next in line to become the King.
Somebody had to take care of the country, and as he struggled and felt “less than,”(particularly with respect to his brother his entire life, while his father also demeaned him), he had to come into his own strength and power immediately! That is how we all must come into our own strength and our own power. We all have to come to terms with the greatness of who we are.The world depends on this.
Questionnaire:
How are YOU holding yourself back?
How painful is the thought of greatness?
How is it that you are diminishing yourself by not acknowledging and living your greatness?
Isn’t what we truly can do far more than what we do?
“If you would do all the things you are capable of, you would astound yourself.” – Thomas Edison
